Wesleyan hosts a community tennis clinic

For the past six weeks, kids across metro-Atlanta ranging in age from kindergarten to sixth grade have been participating in Wesleyan’s community tennis clinic! The program is designed to help children understand the fundamentals of tennis while simultaneously working on skill development. Wesleyan students give their time to train younger players in a “lesson-style environment.”
Wesleyan senior Livi Stolle ‘22 has been helping with tennis clinic since she was in 8th grade.

“I began doing the tennis clinic because I love to play tennis and help younger kids,” Stolle explained.

Tennis clinic attendees are divided by age and ability. They work on strokes and game strategy during lessons through drills and fun games.

“My favorite memory is teaching the kids on the last day and realizing how far they’ve come in just six weeks. It’s also fun just realizing how many new kids you’ve met and made an impact on,” shared Stolle.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our community tennis clinic this year! We love offering a fun, safe, and encouraging environment for kids to learn about tennis.

Mark your calendar for the 2022-2023 community sports leagues and clinics. During the fall, we will offer flag football for boys and girls Pre1st-6th grade, and we will offer cheerleading for girls K-4th. During the winter, we will offer basketball for boys and girls K-4th, and during the spring, we will be back for more tennis for boys and girls K-6th.
