Approach to Learning

From K-12, our biblically based approach to learning is renewing minds, bodies, and spirits.

Faith and intellect

Because we believe in the power of "and," we acknowledge that our approach to learning is conventional in some ways and completely transformative in other ways. Like all schools, we seek to hire great teachers, teach engaging curriculum, and inspire excellence. Unlike all schools, we believe that education is the practice of renewing minds. We believe that education can be authentically Christ-centered and academically rigorous. We find balance in both challenging and nurturing students. We believe age-appropriate development and growth includes the mind, body, and spirit. Because of our dynamic and changing world, we believe students need a biblical perspective that inspires courage to be curious and instills confidence when convicted. At Wesleyan, students explore, question, and collaborate in small classes led by experienced, Christian educators who are committed to their crafts.
