Community Clinics

Wesleyan is thrilled to offer community clinics to children in kindergarten through 6th grade across metro-Atlanta during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. These Saturday clinics are an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment - regardless of where they go to school.

Community Tennis Clinic

Wesleyan's tennis program is designed to help children understand the fundamentals of tennis while working on skill development in a "lesson" environment. Children are divided by age and ability and work through a series of rotations each session working on strokes, playing time, and game strategy.

  • Skills clinic for boys and girls ages 5-11 (grades K-6th).
  • Registration is for six Saturday sessions or a drop-in option is available. Clinics run from the last Saturday in March through the first Saturday in May. 
    • 9 - 10:15 a.m. for grades K-2nd.
    • 10:30 a.m. - noon for grades 3rd-6th.
  • Players are divided by age and ability, working in small groups to learn and develop skills.
Each session involves fundamentals of work and competitive games.

Community Flag Football & Cheer

Wesleyan's Saturday flag football and cheer program is designed to teach children the basics of these two activities in a fun, structured environment. For football, each Saturday will consist of drills, team practice, play designing, and game time. For cheer, we will work in groups to refine basic movement skills, learn and perfect cheers, and cheer on each football team. Teams are created based on age, ability, and combine skills.

  • Flag football league for boys and girls grades P1 - 6th. Cheer is for girls grades K-4th.
  • Players are divided by age and ability, work in small groups, and then enjoy 7-on-7 play.
  • Cheer participants will be divided into group to practice cheer routines and enjoy team building.
  • The program will run from the first Saturday after Labor Day to the last Saturday in October.
  • Practices and games will be on Saturdays 8:30  – 10:30 a.m.
  • Registration fee includes 8 sessions and a football jersey OR cheer shirt and bow.

Community Basketball Clinic

The clinics are structured so that players receive sound fundamental instruction in a competitive and organized environment focusing on skill development and teamwork. Our goal is for children to learn how to play the game of basketball the correct way in a fun setting.
 
  • Skills & Drills Clinic for all boys and girls, age 5-10 (grades K-4th).
  • Players are divided by age and ability, working in small groups to learn and develop skills.
  • Clinics are Saturdays, and the clinics run from the first Saturday in December through the first Saturday in February.
    • 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. K - 1st
    • 9:45 - 11 a.m. 2nd - 4th
Younger group: Each session involves fundamentals, station rotation, skill building, and 3-on-3 game time.Older group: Core skill building, station rotation and 5-on-5 game time. We will spend time each week working on plays in real time game situations.
