Students participate in Georgia Music Educators All-State Band & Orchestra
After two rigorous rounds of auditions, Ellie Ahn ’27 (flute), Chris Kang ’30 (oboe), and Dorothy Park ’24 (viola, percussion) were selected to participate in Georgia Music Educators All-State Band & Orchestra in Athens, Georgia, recognizing them as the top 10 percent of instrumentalists in the state.
“All three students represented themselves and Wesleyan so well! They spent the weekend with renowned conductors and collaborating with the best instrumental musicians in the state,” reflects Jeff Foster, band director.

Ahn, Kang, and Park each performed beautifully in front a packed house at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia.
“I am so proud of them for making it to this level and doing such a great job,” beams Foster.
