Varsity Girls Basketball Heads to the State Finals

The Varsity Girls Basketball team is headed to the State Finals after defeating Carver Columbus 71-57 on Saturday evening at Savannah State University. The Lady Wolves led most of the game, stretching the lead to 24 points at one point; however, the talented Carver team fought back, cutting the lead to eight midway through the 4th quarter. After a timeout, the Wolves regained their grip on the game, stringing together a quick seven point run to stretch the lead back to fifteen, putting the game out of reach for the Carver Tigers.

The Lady Wolves are headed to the State Finals for the first time in five years! The game will be played on Friday, March 8th at 1pm in the Macon Coliseum. We hope to see you there! Click below to read the game recap article from the Gwinnett Daily Post.
