Fourth grade students celebrate differences among God's family members
On Thursday, Feb. 15, fourth grade students gathered to discuss “Creative God, Colorful Us” by Trillia Newbell during a T.I.E.D. Together lesson.
Students discussed how differences are a part of God’s good and unique design for the world. The class compared each person to an important puzzle piece noting that though the pieces of the puzzle may be different, they come together to make a beautiful picture.
Emma Grace Burns, fourth grade chair, invited students to reflect upon the differences of their own family members and to consider how God’s family is also made up of many different types of people.
Students noted differences in age, personality, and hair color among their own family members and celebrated these differences.
