Wolf Players awe audiences during their performance of Godspell

The Wesleyan Wolf Players awed audiences with their performance of Godspell, a rock ‘n’ roll musical interpretation of the gospel of Matthew.
Caroline Mitchell ‘15 directed the unique show and encouraged students to grow in confidence and take ownership for how they interpret scenes and characters.

“The entire rehearsal process was filled with lots of giggles and laughs,” explains Mitchell. “Godspell is such a wacky show, and it’s been a great opportunity for everyone to really take ownership of what they do onstage.”

A sense of community was established among the cast as the show relied heavily on ensemble cohesion, and actors developed teamwork skills that allowed them to collaborate and work together.

“Theatre offers a unique way of getting to know people... like really know them,” smiles Mitchell.

Mitchell expressed that she hopes students walk away from the experience having new head and heart knowledge of Jesus’s love, a renewed sense of community, and the confidence to continue sharing their gifts.

Bravo, Godspell cast!
