JV Girls Basketball Finishes Runner-up in JV League Tournament
The JV Girls basketball team came in 2nd place overall in the regular season standings and earned the 2nd seed in JV league tournament. The league consisted of Pace, Lovett, Westminster, Woodward, Holy Innocents, and Mt. Vernon.
In the tournament, the Wolves defeated Westminster (41-13) in the first round, and Pace (40-25) in the semi-finals, before falling to Holy Innocents in the championship game. JV Girls Basketball beat Pace Academy on 1/27 by a final of 40-25. Siena Myers’ hot shooting paced the Wolves as she hit 4 3-pointers on her way to 15 points. Ansley Jamieson added 14 points. Grace McLeod (7pts), Emma Jane Gillis (2pts) and Alyssa Flood (2pts) rounded out scoring for the Wolves.
We lost to HIES in the championship game played on 1/27 at 11am by a final of 58-35. Our scoring attack was balanced as Emma Jane Gillis led with 11 points followed by Ansley Jamieson (9pts), Siena Myers (9pts), Grace McLeod (6pts).
