Wesleyan junior Savannah Johnson receives character award from Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce

The Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Savannah Johnson ’23 with the Chamber’s Character Award. The award seeks to honor “an outstanding student whose attitude and actions embody the chamber's mission, passion, and commitment to excellence and community action.”
Nominated by her grade chair Ashley Stainback, Johnson’s diligence as a student, commitment to teamwork as a member of Wesleyan’s girls volleyball team, and her service as a leader in the school’s SALSA club were noted by her teachers in the nomination process.

“It was my privilege to nominate Savannah for this recognition,” said Stainback. “She truly strives to make the right decisions each and every day, a reality that can be hard in today’s world with all that high school students face. I am so proud of the young woman Savannah is becoming and that her character and love for others were recognized by the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.”

Congratulations, Savannah!
