Band and chorus students learn from college professor over Thanksgiving

Shortly after Thanksgiving, band and chorus students traveled to Florida for a workshop led by a University of Central Florida (UCF) professor and some program bonding at amusement parks. Dr. Kelly Miller, coordinator of music education at UCF, led students in a workshop focused on trust-building, non-verbal communication, and teamwork.
"For performing ensembles, this trip serves as a collaboration and bonding experience for both the band and chorus,” says Jeff Foster, band director.

In addition to Miller’s workshop, students also enjoyed visiting Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
