Runner-Up Finish for Girls, Third Place for Boys at Area Track and Field Meet

The Varsity Track and Field teams finished up the Area Meet on Monday at George Walton Academy, with the girls finishing as Area Runner-Up and the boys coming in 3^rd place. Highlights for the girls include the following: Kensie Pierce (1^st high jump), Imani Washington (1^st shot put), Jahni Kerr (1^st 100m), Emrie Harbour (1^st 100m hurdles), Nea Sanders (1^st 400m, 2^nd 300m hurdles), Danielle Kelly (2^nd 3200m, 4^th 1600m), Abby Scott (3^rd 300m hurdles, 4^th long jump), Margaret Dudley (4^th 100m hurdles), 4x100m relay (2^nd – Scott, Sanders, Kerr, Elizabeth Bertram), and 4x400m relay (3^rd – Pierce, Bertram, Palmer Louthan, Sanders). Top finishers for the boys were Matthew Stainback (1^st pole vault), Josh Aspinwall (3^rd shot put), Micah Smith (3^rd long jump, 4^th high jump), Mac Howie (3^rd 3200m, 4^th 1600m), and 4x400m relay (4^th – William Bruehl, Jamarcus Turner, Trent Bartlett, Smith).
