Advanced Art Students Participate in Free Art Friday

December 10th, 2018

For ‘Free Art Friday’ on December 7th, the Advanced Art class made "art drops" all over campus. The students photographed the location of their art and posted it to the Wesleyan visual arts Instagram page. Throughout the day if someone found the work of art there were instructions on the back to find the image on Instagram and comment on it, letting the artist know it has been claimed.

This was all a part of the Free Art Friday movement that has grown to be big in Atlanta arts community. The heart behind the movement is to put artwork in the community in hopes that people will find and bring the art home, creating a positive memory and beautifying their home at the same time.

This movement was wonderful way for Wesleyan students to bring joy to their community through their own work.
