Wesleyan Math Team Wins State

Congratulations to the Wesleyan Math Team on their state championship! On Saturday, April 28th, 2018, the Wesleyan Math Team won 1st place in Class 1A in The 42nd Annual GCTM State Math Tournament.  Daniel Baisier, Jack Lambert, Cameron Potter, Andy Yang, and GCTM State Math Tournament committee member Deborah Brown represented Wesleyan at the invitation-only tournament.  Andy Yang also received an invitation to participate in the Annual Regional Mathematics League, a nationally recognized competition also known as the  "World Series of Math Competitions”. The Wesleyan Math Team would like to also recognize Andy Yang for his top 20 ranking in the state of Georgia in the Kennesaw State Math Tournament as he received a special recognition plaque this past Saturday for his performance earlier in the year.  The Wesleyan Math Team consists of 30 members coached by Corrie Nash and Deborah Brown. They participate in a wide-range of competitions throughout the year. Wesleyan would like to congratulate all of the Wesleyan Math Team for the great performance throughout the 2017-2018 school year.
