Lower school students participate in "Touch-a-Truck"

On Monday, April 30, lower school students participated in “Touch-a-Truck.”
Hodges & Hicks, the contractor for the Young Hall construction project, spent time getting to know lower school students and answering questions about construction.

Students climbed into the backhoe parked outside of Warren Hall to learn about the machine and have their picture taken. They learned that backhoes are used for excavation with the back used to dig dirt and the front used to move the dirt around.

"The students we met with had so many questions, and I love that," smiles Jeff Petit, construction project manager. "Kids who are always thinking about how and why things work are the ones who will get the most out of what will go on in Young Hall once we are through with it."

We are so thankful to be working with a construction team that values students, education, and safety on campus. To learn more about the Young Hall construction project and the Campaign for Students, click here: https://www.wesleyanschool.org/giving/campaign-for-students
