Wesleyan honors retirees Lori Stromie and Melanie O'Kelley

Wesleyan School is grateful for the service of long-tenured employees, Lori Stromie and Melanie O’Kelley.
For over 10 years, Stromie went above and beyond in the role of administrative assistant. She first served as the high school administrative assistant before moving into the role of athletics administrative assistant.

“She served at Wesleyan with excellence, grace, and gratitude,” reflects Joe Koch, high school principal.
Stromie’s contributions to Wesleyan are marked by her keen attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.

“She’s an initiator. She gets things done without being asked,” says Lacy Gilbert, director of athletics.

Following retirement, Stromie looks forward to slow mornings and more time spent with friends and family.

Melanie O’Kelley began at Wesleyan School 16 years ago as the library assistant in the lower school. A few years later, she took over as the high school librarian and has demonstrated a depth of knowledge about the library and archives ever since.

Sharp and perceptive, O’Kelley was an integral part of our school.

“I have been moved over the years watching [students] mature in their faith,” shares O’Kelley. “My faith has grown because of our students.”

Upon retirement, O’Kelley looks forward to residing at Lake Lanier and traveling with her husband.

We are so thankful for you, Melanie and Lori, and we wish you happiness and joy during your years of retirement.
