Girls Varsity Lacrosse Wins Area Title
The Varsity Girls Lacrosse team captured the Area Title on Thursday evening with a 19-5 win over North Oconee! With the win, the Wolves clinched a #1 seed in the GHSA playoffs and earned a 1st round bye. The Lady Wolves will host a 2nd round playoff game next Friday or Saturday. Time and date TBA. Congrats to the girls on a great season thus far!
Goalie, Ella Spitzer, had her best game of the year with 8 saves and 4 ground balls.
Mamie Pridgen led a strong defensive effort throughout the game shutting down N. O. defense.
Avery Tucker led the midfield with 5 goals/2 assists and Eva Garabadian added 4 goals/1 assist, both had 6 draw controls.
Savannah Higgins led the attack with 5 goals/ 2 assists, Britain Bridgers with 1 goal/5 assists/4 ground ball control, and Lilly Surber 1 goal/1 assist/4 ground ball controls.
