Senior Jeffrey Pinckney receives the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Character Award
The Southwest Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce honored senior Jeffrey Pinckney with a Character Award. The award is given to outstanding students whose attitudes and actions embody a passion and commitment to excellence. The award celebrates students who are respectful, caring, trustworthy, fair, and responsible.
Jeffrey was nominated by members of the high school administration who noted his selflessness, hard work, and commitment to his peers and the school.
“Jeffrey is known for his good ethics, determination, and being a hard worker,” reflects Joseph Koch, high school principal. “When posed with the question, ‘What makes you smile?’ he said the following: ‘Thinking about how I can be successful in the future and make mom and dad proud and to be a good role model for siblings.’ Jeffrey is truly a young man who exemplifies the character qualities of this award.”
