Class of 2024 attends Senior Chapel

On Friday, May 3, the Class of 2024 worshiped, prayed, laughed, cried, and led their final chapel as Wesleyan students.
Seniors Jeffrey Pinckney, Mamie Pridgen, Olivia Cardile, Hayden Auscherman, Audrey Ekoue-Bla, Eli Hewitson, Anne McSweeney, and Viraj Artham reflected on their growth, the deep friendships they made, their gratitude for their teachers, and their love for Wesleyan.

“Everywhere I went, there was someone there whenever I needed it,” reflects Pinckney.

Seniors also gave advice to their peers, encouraging them to be present, surround themselves with a positive and uplifting community, and take advantage of all that Wesleyan has to offer.

“Capitalize on the opportunities that Wesleyan gives you,” encouraged Pridgen.

Senior Tengle Wang and Maggie Soukup delivered a speech, reflecting on their time at Wesleyan.

“My time at Wesleyan has been full of joy and growth,” smiles Wang. “I attended six different public and international schools, and I can say with confidence that Wesleyan is my favorite of them all.”

“Wesleyan has not only been a school, but an open and warm home for each of us,” shares Soukup.

Greg Lisson, director of Christian life ended the service by reminding students that they are so loved by the Wesleyan community, but they are even more loved by their Heavenly Father.

Thank you, seniors, for your thoughtful reflection on your time at Wesleyan. We are thankful for each one of you, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
