Sozo Children's Choir

On February 21 and 22, the Wesleyan community has the incredible opportunity to host the Sozo Children’s Choir from Uganda. The choir tours all over the world to raise money for their orphanage, and will be visiting Wesleyan to spend time with students, visit classrooms, and lead our chapel services.
You are invited to come to one of our chapel services next week: lower and middle school combined service at 8:14-9:10 am or high school service at 10:15-11:05 am. The choir will be selling handmade items and their Sozo Choir CD after each chapel service and during lunch outside of Dubose Cafeteria. Cash and card are accepted. Click "Read More" for details about the Sozo Choir.
According to their website, the vision of Sozo Children is captured in their name:
"Sozo" is a Greek word found in the New Testament, used often by Jesus, that means "to save," both physical restoration and spiritual salvation. This word captures Sozo Children's vision to provide for children who have been neglected or orphaned while at the same time encouraging them to become disciples bringing glory to God.

Sozo’s mission and vision fit beautifully with the heart of Wesleyan, and their presence on campus will be a powerful testimony to our Christian Life theme for February – One Humanity. Ephesians 2 reminds us that all people can be reconciled with God and unified to each other in Christ, and we pray that unity and love will be evident as we welcome the Sozo Children to our campus.

We are looking forward to hosting the Sozo choir as a community!
