Engineers for a Day

Seven high school juniors and seniors applied to and were selected to participate in the Georgia Tech Women in Engineering program on Thursday, October 5. Throughout the day, students heard directly from Georgia Tech's world-renowned faculty and current Tech students about the 11 undergraduate engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech, including aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, and mechanical engineering. Click "Read More" for additional details.
In addition, the girls were able to meet with Georgia Tech admissions counselors over lunch to learn more about the Institute's admissions process and the academic requirements necessary to succeed in engineering programs. Chaperone Anna Myrick said, “It was a great opportunity for the students to see real-world applications for each major and discover which subjects they connect with best.” Congratulations to Morgan Biagioni, Katie Crofton, Ansley Harper, Lexi Jerding, Jennifer Nolan, Laura Von Bargen, and Emma Watkins for being selected for this unique opportunity.
