Family Night!

Wednesday, April 12 will be the final Family Night of the 2016-17 school year. I hope that you will take advantage of this brief pause in the life of the school to enjoy an evening together as a family.
Dear Wesleyan Family, Wednesday, April 12 will be the final Family Night of the 2016-17 school year. As a reminder, this is a night on which there is no homework, no scheduled games or activities, and no tests, quizzes, or assessments the following day. While practices will take place on Wednesday afternoon, coaches and directors have been asked to end those practices earlier than normal.

One important difference to note with this Family Night: there will be NO late arrival on the morning of Thursday, April 13. School will start at the normal time as Thursday is Grandparent’s Day and we have a school-wide early release on Thursday for the start of Easter Break.

I hope that you will take advantage of this brief pause in the life of the school to enjoy an evening together as a family. If you and your family are looking for something to do on Wednesday night, I want to invite you to attend the opening night of the Middle and High School Visual Art Show. The art show, which opens at 6:30pm on Wednesday, is a fantastic showcase for our student’s artwork. Starting at 6:00pm, there will be a food truck on campus (Tex’s Tacos) to make it easy for you and your family to purchase food, and the school will provide drinks and dessert. The truck will be parked in close proximity to the Fine Arts Building, which is where the Visual Art Show will take place. No RSVP is necessary for the food truck…simply take advantage of it if you choose.

Again, Family Night is your night, and while I hope you will join us for the Visual Art Show, the great food, and an evening of being together as a community, if you and your family need some time away from campus, I hope you have a restful and fun night.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:29-31
