Ellie Ahn '27 performs in MYSO Atlanta's Spring Concert

On May 14, Ellie Ahn ‘27 performed in MYSO (Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra) Atlanta’s Spring Concert. MYSO’s mission is to develop the educational opportunities of America’s youngest and most talented musicians by offering public performances, sectional coaching, solo performance opportunities, chamber music ensemble training, and scholarship awards for continuing music education.
Ahn is currently studying with Christina Smith, principal flutist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Ahn is the principal flutist of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra Philharmonia.

For the past two years, Ahn has been a part of the Wesleyan School Marching Band, under the leadership of Jeff Foster, director of bands. Next year she will be a part of the high school symphonic band. Wesleyan has provided Ahn with opportunities to learn and grow as a flutist. As an eighth grade student, she was invited to accompany the high school chorus concert with the flute, and she played along with professional musicians in the middle school musical, “The Sound of Music,” in April.

Way to go, Ellie!
