Middle school students dazzle audience with their spring concert

Wesleyan middle school chorus students performed their spring concert on Monday, May 8. Both the fifth and sixth grade chorus and the advanced chorus performed songs from a variety of genres and featured soloists and single-gender performances.
The fifth and sixth grade chorus performed “Playground Tunes” by Earlene Rentz and “We are the Champions” by Freddie Mercury (arranged by Roger Emerson). Eva Foster ‘30 and Camille Jensen ‘30 performed solos during the song “Greatest Love of All” by Creed and Masser (arranged by Jay Althouse). Elizabeth Martinez ‘29 and Nia Pandya ‘29 also sang solos during “We are Family” by Rogers and Edwards (arranged by Audrey Snyder).

The Advanced Chorus, comprised of seventh and eighth grade students, performed “Man in the Mirror” by Ballad and Garrett (arranged by Ed Lojeski) and “Beat It” by Michael Jackson (arranged by Mark Brymer). Additionally, the girls of the Advanced Chorus charmed the audience with “Love Story” by Taylor Swift (arranged by Roger Emerson). The Advanced Chorus closed with the fan favorite “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, Child, and Sambora (arranged by Mac Huff).

Thank you, middle school chorus, for a lovely evening filled with old and new classics.
