Wesleyan sophomores participate in the Atlanta Invitational Case Studies Program

On Sunday, dozens of Wesleyan sophomores and their parents participated in the Atlanta Invitational Case Studies (AICS). The AICS program is in its 15th year and continues to be one of the largest programs of its kind.
At AICS, a college admission professional leads participants through a mock admissions committee. As members of the committee, students and parents review the fictional applicants based on their academics, activities, and involvement, ultimately deciding whether each applicant should be admitted, denied or waitlisted. Meredith Jamieson, 10th grade parent, shared “Our college representative did a phenomenal job guiding the discussion. She was dynamic and funny. I learned so much about how a college admission professional views an applicant. The parent session afterward provided fantastic tips for parents who are navigating the college admission process for the first time.”

The 2023 AICS program involved almost 1,000 participants who were hosted by 58 colleges and universities. Following the mock admission committee meeting, a college fair was held so that students could meet directly with college representatives.
