Middle School Softball Round-Up

9/24/22
The MS Lady Wolves pushed their season record to 9-5 on Saturday with a 15-8 victory at Woodward Academy.  Collins Gifford led the offensive output driving in for runs; eight different girls crossed home plate for the visiting Lady Wolves.  May May Miller and Haley Roebuck each had three hits while Brooke Parkes scored four runs with Roebuck and Siena Myers each scoring three.  Parkes pitched three innings striking out five to record her 7th win on the season.
8/26/22
The MS Lady Wolves won their third straight with a 10-2 victory over rival Greater Atlanta Christian.  Brooke Parkes and Haley Roebuck led the way offensively each with two hits and two runs scored. Grace McLeod made her first appearance on the season and delivered a big two-run single in the fourth inning to put the game away.  Roebuck earned her first win on the mound pitching three innings and striking out two on the day.

The MS Lady Wolves earned their second straight win in comeback fashion over Peachtree Middle School 5-4 last night.  Brooke Parkes got the win in relief pitching 4 innings and striking out ten batters.  The Wolves had a solid defensive night highlighted by Siena Myers’ effort behind the plate and a tremendous catch by Melanie Wadkins in left field late in the game.  May May Miller knocked in the go ahead run in the fifth.  Stella Leutenegger struck out three in her first start of the season in the circle.

The MS Lady Wolves earned their first win of the season last night at Blessed Trinity 9-7. Siena Myers hit the first pitch of the game 200 feet over the centerfielder for an inside-the-park-homerun to put the Wolves up 1-0 early. The Wolves then exploded for eight runs in the second inning highlighted by Haley Roebuck’s double to left and another base hit from Myers and a slew of walks as the Wolves showed great plate discipline. Brooke Parkes struck out three to earn the win from the circle.  Roebuck pitched the last inning for the save.
