Wesleyan community gathers to celebrate retiring employees

This afternoon, the Wesleyan School community at large gathered to celebrate retiring, long-serving employees Becky Kimsey, Pat McCoy, and Sylvia Pryor. Collectively, they have served Wesleyan for 57 years.
Becky Kimsey, lower school nurse and health services department chair, has served at Wesleyan for nine years. Laura Jensen, pre-first grade chair, spoke on behalf of Kimsey at the celebration.

“When I asked one of my students why he wants to go to the nurse so often, he said ‘I just want to say hi to her. She’s so nice!’” stated Jensen.

Pat McCoy, middle school modern and classical languages teacher, has served at Wesleyan for 22 years. Joseph Antonio, middle school principal, spoke on behalf of McCoy, recalling memories of how McCoy went above and beyond to connect with her students.

“Pat is a dependable colleague and friend,” stated Antonio.

Sylvia Pryor, admissions coordinator, has served at Wesleyan for 26 years. Mari Beth King, director of admissions, spoke on Pryor’s behalf and described her as loyal, dedicated, honest, and wise.

Thank you to those who joined us this afternoon to honor these women for the ways they have gone above and beyond to serve the Wesleyan body.
