Lacrosse - Middle School Girls

4/23/22
The Middle School Girls tied Lovett and defeated HIES on Saturday!  Rookie Aspen Alder came off the injured list playing in her first game of the season and scored her first goal.  Skyla Keo had a strong day in the midfield and led the team in ground ball control.  Anna McGowan lead the team in points with 5 goals, 2 assists and 2 ground balls.  Goalie Ella Spitzer had 13 saves for the day and an amazing half field clear right to her teammate.
4/9/22
MS Girls Lacrosse team had their best games of the season with 13 players scoring goals and 17 players with ground ball pickups for Wesleyan possession.  Shout out to Anna McGowan who played defense, midfield, and attack that day and contributed 1 goal and 5 ground balls for her team.  Defender Natalie Inman anchored the defense with 8 ground balls, 1 goal and 1 assist.  Attack player Bela Nichols contributed 1 goal, 3 assists and 5 ground balls and middie Kellan Terwilliger contributed 3 goals, 2 assists and 6 ground balls.

The Middle School Girls took two on Saturday, 12-9 vs Pace and 9-2 vs Westminster.  It was a full team effort in both games with every player contributing to the wins.  Mary Grant Campbell led the defense with 5 ground ball pickups.  Kellan Terwilliger had a strong showing in the midfield with 5 goals, 1 assist, and 9 ground balls for the day.  Savannah Higgins led in points with 9 goals and 3 assists.

3/26/22
The girls split games over the weekend with a 14-1 win over Woodward, and a 6-13 defeat at the hands of BT.  Sarie Rowe, Savannah Huggins, and Bela Nichols each scored 2 goals and added an assist.  Taylor Douglas had a hat-trick in the BT game.  The defense was anchored by goalie Ella Spitzer with 10 saves, while defender Addison Kane added a pair of goals on the day.

On Saturday, the girls split games, losing to St. Pius 2-12 and defeating Sutton 15-1.  13 players scored in the today’s games including first time goal scorers Tatum Krauth, Maya Arora, Ellie Fears, Anna McGowan and Elle Taylor.  Catherine Neu led the midfield in ground ball pickups.  Shout out to Riley Beall who stepped in goal for the first time to anchor the defense.


2/26/22

The Middle School Girls Lacrosse team got off to a 2-0 start with wins over Marist (13-2) and Inman (9-0) this weekend.  Middie Sarie Rowe had a strong showing on offense and defense. She scored 5 goals and 2 assists.
Riley Kate Beall and Kinsley Hagen both had 2 goals and 2 assists.  Natalie Inman led the defense in ground ball control, and added 2 goals and 1 assist.  Goalie Ella Spitzer had a great day in goal, only allowing 2 goals for the day.
