Tennis - Middle School

4/9/22
The Middle School tennis team ended the season on a high note with a win over Westminster on April 9th.  Unfortunately, the girls were rained out, but the boys pulled out a close 6-5 win. With the overall match tied at 5 all, the doubles pairing of Ried Oetting and Nolan Pinson sealed the team win with a score of 8-2. Today's victory ensured a winning season on the courts for the Wolves.  Congratulations to all the players on another successful season!

The Middle School Boys' Tennis Team had an excellent match on Thursday with a convincing 10-2 win over Pace Academy. Tom Hughes and Reeves Moore had particularly strong outings, winning both their singles and doubles matches.


4/1/22
The Girls team pulled out a victory against Lovett by the score of 7-4.  Bridgette Bailliard, Alex Chase and Yuna Cho led the way for the Wolves, winning both their singles and doubles matches.

3/30/22
The Middle School Tennis Wolves continued their strong season with a 10-4 win over GAC on Wednesday.  The boys had a dominant day, winning 6 of 7 matches. They were led by the #1 doubles' team of Reeves Moore and Evan Nesbitt, who came from behind to pull out a close 8-6 win against very strong opponents.  The girls were tied with 3 points each when Emily Kilguss and Suzy Loetscher won the deciding match 8-4 to seal the Wolves' win.

3/28/22
The Middle School Tennis Team returned to the courts on Tuesday with a convincing 18-2 win over Cornerstone. Standout performances were turned in by Grayson Ragsdale, who won both her singles' and doubles' matches, and Ben Truong, who outlasted a very tough opponent, taking his match with a final score of 8-6. Congratulations to all on a strong team win!


2/28/22
The girls middle school tennis team won a close match (6-4) against a strong Lovett team at home on Tuesday. Bridgette Bailliard had a very strong showing, easily winning her singles match, and then pairing with Bianca Woomer to take the deciding doubles point with a nail-biting 8-6 win.

2/24/22
The Middle School tennis team had another successful day on the courts, posting a decisive combined 14-2 win over Hebron Christian Academy.  On the girls side, they swept Hebron 9-0, while the boys fought to a 5-2 victory.  Emily Kilguss and Jia Lim posted a dominating shutout win in girls' doubles, as did Mike Hughes in boy's singles.


2/16/22

The Middle School tennis teams season got off to a great start with a clean sweep on both the Boys and Girls side against Hebron.  Ava Singh played a thrilling match at #1 singles, pulling it out with a 7-6 tiebreak win.  In doubles, first time players Harrison Miller and Elijah Tian had a very strong showing, outscoring their opponents 8-1.
