Wesleyan sophomores participate in the Atlanta Invitation Case Studies program

Over the weekend, members of the Wesleyan sophomore class and their parents participated in the Atlanta Invitational Case Studies (AICS). The Atlanta Invitational Case Studies Program is a collective effort of partner metro Atlanta college preparatory independent schools.
AICS seeks to demystify the college process by exposing sophomores and their families to the college application and review process. With this understanding, students are then able to be better informed about how their academics, activities, and involvement are reviewed during a holistic admissions review.

The AICS Program began in 2008 and has grown to be one of the largest programs of its kind in the country. The 2022 AICS program involved over 600 participants who were hosted by 32 college representatives from across the country.

“As a school, we were very excited to participate in the 14th annual AICS program,” said Ken Connor, director of college advising at Wesleyan. “It’s so helpful for students and parents to gain greater understanding into the factors beyond GPA, test scores, and rigor that colleges use in evaluating applicants. The insights offered by the college admissions representatives who guided the conversations were so helpful in bringing to life what holistic admissions means. We’re confident that everyone who took advantage of the opportunity learned a great deal.”
