6 Softball Alums Playing College Ball

Six Wesleyan Softball alums will be lacing up their spikes across the country to play college softball this spring.

Jameson Kavel is a fifth-year utility player for the Duke Blue Devils.  She has earned multiple awards through her career in Durham, including Preseason All-ACC recognition this spring.

Cassie Henning enters her Senior year with the Georgetown Hoyas playing 3rd Base and Pitcher. A four time all-county player for the Wolves, Henning has become a swiss army knife for the Hoyas.

Madison Kerpics will suit up as a Sophomore Pitcher for the Georgia Bulldogs.  In her Freshman campaign, Kerpics posted a 3-0 record through 34.2 innings of relief with 42 strikeouts.  She was also named SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll.

Jahni Kerr will play her RS-Freshman season in the Outfield for the Florida State Seminoles.  Coming off a knee-injury that cut her first season in Tallahassee short, Kerr figures to factor prominently in the Seminole outfield.  She held a .308 batting average before her injury last season.

Reece Holbrook enters her first year of college ball as an Infielder with the Virginia Cavaliers.  Reece was a two-time all-state player for the Wolves and ranks second all-time in RBI for the program with 114.

Gracie Taylor will roam the Infield for the Colorado State Rams.  Taylor also earned all-state honors twice in her career with the Wolves, and was tabbed by the region coaches as Player of the Year in her senior season.
