The Varsity Girls Soccer season came to a close on the road in the Elite 8 after falling 3-1 to Pinecrest.  The Wolves' goal came off the foot of Kaitlyn Bobo assisted by Lainey Jerding.  The team finishes with a 16-3 overall record.  A special thank you to our Seniors, Caroline Archer, Kendrick Archer, Grace Elsevier, Jocelyn Lopez, and Teagan Wilkenloh, and our excellent coaches Glenn Archer, Rich Billing, Nicole Galvin, Ellie Burns, and Andy Randrup!

The Lady Wolves (14-1, 5-0) defeated Mt Vernon 2-1 in region play tonight in overtime.  Cady Triplett put the Wolves up early with a goal on a direct kick thirty yards out then Mt Vernon tied it up 1-1 just before half (which was interrupted by an hour plus lightning delay).  Regulation ended at 1-1. But Kaitlin Bobo scored an incredible goal late in the second overtime period to put the Wolves up for good.  Grace Elsevier had several big time saves to secure the win for the Wolves.

We are now 5-0 in region and will play Holy Innocents tomorrow (also 5-0 in region play) for the Region Championship and a number #1 playoff seed (loser tomorrow is a #2 seed).  Either way, the Wolves will host a first round playoff game on Tuesday, April 12.

The Girls started the 2022 campaign 2-0 with a 9-0 victory over Prince Avenue, and a 4-0 win over Flowery Branch.  Against PACS, Laurel Edge posted her first career hat trick and added an assist.  Kaitlyn Bobo scored 2 and assisted 4 times, Teagen Wilkenloh booted two goals, and Lainey Jerding and Cady Triplett both added goals of their own.  Against Flowery Branch, Bobo provided a hat trick and Edge scored once.  For her efforts through the opening week, Kaitlyn Bobo has been nominated as a Gwinnett Daily Post Athlete of the Week.  You can vote for Bobo here.
