Wesleyan Welcomes New Middle School Faculty for the 2021-2022 School Year

Wesleyan School is excited to welcome the following staff members to the middle school! Read more about their backgrounds below:
Uta Nelson will join our modern and classical languages department after serving as a substitute teacher at Wesleyan this past year. Prior to her time at Wesleyan, Uta worked in a variety of capacities in the corporate world including roles as a legal assistant, project manager, and business owner for media translation projects. Born in Germany and raised in Switzerland, Uta’s native languages are Italian and German, and she also speaks French, Spanish, and English. She earned a Master of Arts in Economics, Finance, and Accounting from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Uta will sponsor our high school Omicron team. She currently attends Mount Paran North Church. 

Jeremy Oliver will join our English department after spending the past five years teaching and coaching at The Lovett School and the previous five years at North Cobb Christian. After graduating from The Westminster Schools, Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in English from the University of Maryland. At Wesleyan, Jeremy will serve as head coach for varsity boys basketball and as an assistant coach for middle school track. Jeremy and his wife, Dawn, attend Buckhead Church.

Chuck Stevens will join our mathematics department after serving as a teacher and director of technology at an international school in Rwanda for the past nine years. Before moving to Africa, he taught middle school math and science in Texas for six years. Chuck earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Abilene Christian University, and he earned a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Tech University. He will coach middle school tennis at Wesleyan, and he and his wife, Emily, will be looking for a church as they relocated to Atlanta this summer. 

Leslie Stuart will join our physical education department after serving as a teacher and coach at Archer High School. Her leadership roles at Archer included serving as health department head and head coach for varsity girls lacrosse. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education as well as a minor in Public Health from the University of Georgia. At Wesleyan, she will coach varsity girls lacrosse and middle school swimming. She currently attends Passion City Church.
