Steel Wolves Qualify for the State Championships

The Wesleyan Steel Wolves VEX Robotics Team has been hard at work since August designing, building, and testing a robot to compete against teams across North America in VEX Robotics VRC Change-Up Competitions. On February 27, the team competed in a Live-Remote Skills Challenge at North Forsyth High School and successfully qualified for the Georgia VEX State Championship Live-Remote Tournament.
On March 6, the team competed in a Live-Remote Tournament at Louisiana State University and placed 1st in the qualification rounds, earning a number one seed for the semi-final round. In one of the qualification rounds, team captain Alex Thorne drove a virtually ‘perfect’ match to lead the Steel Wolves to victory. Click here to see the round!

The team lost an extremely close match in the semifinal 153 to 157.

Good luck to the Steel Wolves as they compete at the Georgia VEX State Championship Live-Remote Tournament on March 27th!
