Varsity Baseball Splits Doubleheader Saturday

The Varsity baseball team split their two games Saturday in Winder. They fell short to Peachtree Ridge in game one 4-2, but bounced back in the afternoon game defeating Lakeside Evans 12-2.

Against Lakeside Evans the Wolves put up 6 runs in the first inning along with 12 hits to take a commanding lead.

Druw Jones led the way at the plate going 4 for 5 with 2 RBI.  Cooper Blauser was 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 walks, and Jalen Fulwood was 2 for 4. 

On the mound, the Wolves gave the ball to Carson Ballard who pitched 3 innings with 4-strikeouts. Lucas Schelhammer and Dominick Scalese finished out the game for the Wolves.

Wesleyan is 2-1 on the season.

The Varsity baseball team returns to the diamond tomorrow at home against Dunwoody with first pitch scheduled for 5:30p.m.
