Meet the 2019 Tuition Raffle Winners

We’re pleased to introduce the 2019 Tuition Raffle winners, the Hughes Family, Class of 2026 (Mike and Tom)!  We asked them to share with us what it meant to their family to WIN the tuition raffle.

What Winning Meant to Us:
“A friend from Wesleyan called me with the news we had won the tuition raffle. I thought she was making a nice joke with me. Then, I got two other calls, and I realized we had won! This seemed to set off a streak of favorable things happening to our family. Financially, this was “found” money, and paid for a wonderful vacation we had planned for Japan, where we had lived from 2002-2008, and where Mike and Tom were born. Winning the Wesleyan tuition raffle proved to us three things: (1) that a real person actually wins these things! (2) the chances are actually pretty good given the population of our school, and (3) as said in the commercials, “you’ve got to play to win”. The cherry on the cake was that win or lose, we knew the fundraising was for a great purpose.”
