Coach McDaniel Awarded Atlanta Track Club Honor

Head Cross Country Coach and Director of Development Chad McDaniel was recently awarded the Jerry Frasier Award for outstanding coach’s dedication to the sport of cross country in the State of Georgia. The award is given annually by the Atlanta Track Club to coaches who have a long history of involvement to the sport, their community, and its athletes.

Coach McDaniel and the Cross Country program most recently won both the girls and boys 2020 GHSA Class A Private Cross Country State Championships. One of McDaniel’s nominators for the award said, “Coach is not only a great motivator and strategist, but he makes a personal investment in every one of his runners, and not just the top 10 or 12. Our school has nearly 150 boys and girls who run cross country which is a staggering number for a sport that involves significant pain and little publicity. That is a direct statement on the impact he has on our school.”
