Mentor Groups Write Letters of Support for Care for Aids

Once a week, high school students meet in small groups with a faculty mentor where they have free time to relax and talk about what is going on in everyday life.

This week the mentor groups wrote letters of support to the East African staff of Care for Aids. Care for Aids is an organization that exists to empower people to live a life beyond AIDS through facilitating transformation physically, emotionally, socially, economically, and spiritually. This has been a tough year for their staff as they have also experienced quarantines and strict lockdowns across East Africa.

Corrie Nash , assistant director of Christian life: service, said about the exercise of writing letters, “One of the best ways to deal with stress and anxiety is to shift our perspective, look outside of ourselves, and encourage others”.
