Free Admission to National Center for Civil and Human Rights

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights has opened its doors to guests for FREE for the month of October. The Center is “an engaging cultural attraction that connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s struggle for Global Human Rights”.
Wesleyan has an educational partnership with the Center which affords the opportunity to enhance learning in the classroom through curriculum and visits to the Center.

Director of Diversity Jennifer Pinkett Smith remarked, "Our students and teachers have visited the Center and engaged in visual and hands-on exhibits. The impact has been both educational and life-changing. From interactive exhibits, to detailed storytelling of the role Atlanta played in Civil Rights Movement, to the powerful lunch counter simulation, students have gained a sense of history and its meaning to our lives, and how we must continue to stand up and speak up for unity and love."

Tickets must be reserved online in advance and are first-come, first-serve. To see the Center for yourself reserve your tickets here!
