College Advising Department Continues to Connect Students with College Representatives

During a time that has been difficult to bring visitors to campus, the college advising team has adjusted their approach to connecting students with college representatives. Rather than the traditional face-to-face meetings, the team has organized a number of Zoom calls between Wesleyan junior and senior students and colleges. Thus far, schools such as Savannah College of Art and Design, University of Georgia, Samford University, Berry College, Auburn University, and Emory University have hosted informational sessions. Schools that are on the schedule include Southern Methodist University, Washington University in St. Louis, Baylor University, Wake Forest University, Dartmouth College, and Wofford College.

During the informational sessions, the representatives share information such as updates on the application process (which is specifically important to seniors this year because of changes due to COVID-19), student life, programs of study, study abroad, cost, size of campus, and diversity on-campus.
The college representatives play an important role in the process as they advocate for our students during the admission cycle. The representatives also meet with our college advising department and are familiar with Wesleyan and the academic rigor provided to our students.
