Wesleyan Welcomes New High School Faculty

Wesleyan School is excited to welcome the following staff members to the high school! Read more about their backgrounds below:
Davis Brown: Davis (’10) will be teaching Bible in the high school and will coach Varsity Lacrosse. Davis graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and played lacrosse. After graduating from college, Davis worked for a year at Passion City Church in Atlanta, followed by four years of teaching and coaching at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School. Most recently, Davis has been working in college ministry with Phi Slam. Davis lives in Buckhead with his wife Grace (C'10) and daughter Zoë (16 months). They attend Passion City Church.

Nicole Galvin: Nicole will join the Math department in the high school. Outside of the classroom, Nicole will be coaching middle school girls soccer. Nicole graduated from Auburn University this past spring where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education. She currently attends Christ the King Catholic Church. 

Nathan Gravlee:  Nathan will be teaching science in the high school and will coach middle school soccer. Nathan graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Georgia Gwinnett College. He also spent a year working towards his Doctorate of Physical Therapy; however, after an accident and God's leading, he decided to pursue teaching. Prior to joining the high school faculty, Nathan was a science and math tutor for FAST Mentoring for over seven years. He is also a certified specialist in strength and conditioning and is an avid weightlifter. Nathan and his wife, Lisa, live in Peachtree Corners, and they attend Gwinnett Community Church. 

Megan Harper: 
Megan will be joining the College Advising Office as the College Advising Administrative Assistant.  Megan received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Auburn University.  After graduating from college, Megan worked as an Office Manager for an Independent Advisory firm for several years.  Following this she returned to school to receive her Master's in School Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. Megan has worked in public and private schools as a K-12 School Counselor.  Megan and her husband, Drew, live in Alpharetta, and they have two children, Merritt (4) and Reid (1).  The Harper family attends Northbrook United Methodist Church.
 
Brooks Hanrahan is thrilled to be remaining in the English department after teaching with Joe Tamel and Joseph Cooper during his faculty fellow year. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Brooks graduated from Samford University where he studied the humanities and sports marketing. After graduating from Samford University, Brooks enrolled in Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity. In addition to teaching British Literature at Wesleyan this year, Brooks will be an assistant director in high school theater for two of the Wolf Player productions. Brooks lives in Brookhaven with his wife, Amanda, and their dog, Otis. They attend Peachtree Presbyterian Church.
 
Peggy Hasty is a career educator who will be teaching 9th grade English. Prior to joining the Wesleyan faculty, Peggy spent the last 17 years at the Atlanta Girls’ School where she served as the Upper School Director. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University, has been awarded Star Teacher and Teacher of the Year honors numerous times throughout her career, and is certified by the College Board to teach Advanced Placement English courses. Peggy attends Decatur First United Methodist Church.

Isiah Hill will serve as the Diversity Coordinator for the high school.  Isiah has extensive teaching and mentoring experience which will be a great asset to the high school community. Isiah holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from North Carolina Central University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Georgia Institute of Technology.  Isiah is entering his 17th year of teaching and is highly involved in the lives of the students in the high school.  Isiah has coached middle school football and continues to coach high school track and field. Isiah is the 11th grade chair for boys, co-sponsor for the G.R.A.C.E. Diversity Club, led a mission trip to Ecuador, and serves as a commissioner on the Educator Ethics Review Committee for the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. Isiah’s passion for teaching, love for students, and his rich connections with faculty will be a great addition to the work and growth of diversity in the high school.
 
Corrie Nash: Corrie Nash will join our Christian Life team in the role of Service Director. Corrie earned a Bachelor of Science from Bryan College and a Master of Education from Georgia State University, both in Mathematics Education. Corrie has taught high school math at Wesleyan for ten years. She also works after school in the math lab, has been a sponsor for math team and honor council, and served as a mission trip leader and mentor teacher. Corrie is involved at Gwinnett Church.
 
Shelley Noble: Shelley is starting her eighth year at Wesleyan and will be co-teaching Peer Leadership with Greg Lisson this year. Shelley also serves as Wesleyan’s Director of Alumni. Prior to her time at Wesleyan, Shelley was an Area Director for Young Life Ministries, New Membership Coordinator at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, handled marketing and operations for Pacific Southern Wine, and was a stay at home mom for 5 years. Shelley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Furman University. Shelley and her son Matthew (7th) attend Dunwoody Baptist Church.
