Literary Wolves Win Second Straight Area Title
On Tuesday, March 3, Wesleyan hosted the GHSA Area 1-A Literary Meet. Students competed in essay and speech writing, dramatic events, and music events. Wesleyan captured a second straight Area title on the backs of many winners and state qualifiers.
- Gian Luca di Lenardo (11th) won 1st in Argumentative Essay.
- Elsah James (11th) won 1st in Person Essay.
- Tyler Sturtevant (12th) won 1st in Humorous Oral Presentation.
- Zach Russell (10th) won 1st in Boys Solo.
- Nadia Thieriot (10th), Gigi Alembik (10th), and Siobhan Davenport (11th) won 1st in Girls Trio.
- Will Milam (9th), Carson Green (10th), Tyler Sturtevant, and Zach Russell won 1st in Boys Quartet.
- Siobhan Davenport (Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking), Davis Olds (10th, Dramatic Oral Presentation), Constance Harris (11th, Girls Solo), and the team of Davis Olds and Tyler Sturtevant (Duo Oral Presentation) also qualified for the State Meet finishing in 2nd.
