Wesleyan Hosts Parent Preview Day

On Tuesday, Nov. 22 the Wesleyan campus welcomed over 100 prospective parents for Parent Preview Day. Parent Preview Day offers prospective parents the opportunity to experience life as a Wesleyan student by visiting classes and observing teachers and students at work. Division principals and student panels were also available to answer any questions.
High school panelist and current sophomore Kayla Kim shared with the parents, “Wesleyan is a warm family that tries not to leave anyone out. The teachers are understanding and truly realize that a student’s value is more than just a number. Many parents seemed to be concerned with how well their child would adjust to Wesleyan, but teachers and grade chairs try their best to place students in challenging but achievable classes and help students if they seem to be struggling.”

Mari Beth King, director of admissions, says, “Parent Preview Day is my favorite admissions event because it allows prospective parents to spend time with our ambassadors as they observe in multiple classrooms. The student panel is priceless. We prepare the panel to be open and honest, and I am always blown away with their answers. I believe the parents get a glimpse of how respectful and poised our current students are.”
