Team Omicron Season Underway

Team Omicron just completed their first full week of service for the season. The team this year has a record-breaking number of participants, with 100 students serving from 9th through 12th grade. There are nine teams and 18 senior captains who are leading the teams this year, and their leadership is crucial to Team Omicron’s success. The students on each team serve two days a week at various organizations in Peachtree Corners. With the help of faculty members Myriam Liverance, Josh Kimberlin, Stephanie McDaniel, and Emma Grace Laird, each day five buses leave Wesleyan’s campus to go and serve our neighbors. Senior captain Robert Johnson says, “I feel as though it is really important to serve my community and Team Omicron is a great way to do this.”

This year Team Omicron is partnering with Spring of Peace, Corners Outreach, Village Park Assisted Living, LaAmistad, and Next Generation Focus. For more information on these organizations and service at Wesleyan click here.
