Girls Finish 2nd, Boys 4th at Metro Meet
The Varsity Swim and Dive team had a successful Metro Meet at Westminster over the weekend, with the girls finishing in 2nd place and the boys in 4th place out of 20 teams. Congratulations to freshman Jessie Parish who finished as the Metro Meet champion in the 50 free. The following athletes had top 5 finishes: Girls 200 Medley Relay – 3rd (Wasmuth, Schiller, Parish, Mathis), Girls 200 Free Relay – 2nd (Schiller, Rappe, Mathis, Parish), Girls 400 Free Relay – 3rd (Parish, Rappe, Mathis, Wasmuth), Boys 200 Medley Relay – 3rd (Venkatesan, Erb, Villa, Harrell), Boys 200 Free Relay – 3rd (Godfrey, Sinclair, Schiller, Harrell), Boys 400 Free Relay – 4th (Godfrey, Villa, Venkatesan, Harrell), Hannah Wasmuth (3rd – 200 free, 2nd – 100 back), and Christopher Harrell (3rd – 50 free). New state cuts were achieved by Amber Mathis (100 free), Luke Schiller (100 breast), and Colton Villa (200 free), while the Girls 200 Medley Relay (5th) and Mac Howie (9th, 500 free) earned new top ten times.
