Wesleyan Hosts Veteran’s Day Assembly

Wesleyan hosted its annual Veteran’s Day assembly on November 9th, bringing in a guest who spoke on the idea of service. The speaker, Ricardo Grave de Peralta, did a masterful job of talking about the ultimate sacrifice through sharing stories of fellow service men who made that ultimate sacrifice to ensure the safety we all enjoy. He then encouraged our students to consider how they can make sacrifices to help others. Ultimately, Ricardo brought it back to the cross, where Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could all live abundantly.
In addition to the speaker, a slideshow was shown that pictured members of the Wesleyan community who have served, or are serving, our country. Please join us in applauding these men and women.
