Marching Wolves Place First in Class A Bands of America Regional Competition

October 9, 2018

On October 5th, the Wesleyan Marching Band traveled to Jacksonville State University to perform in the Bands of America Regional Competition along with 23 other schools. In Class A, the Marching Wolves placed first - including all “caption” awards of Outstanding Music, Visual and Effect. Those categories can be described simply as what you hear, what you see, and what you feel.

Said Marching Band Director Jeff Foster, "This particular group of students is unique in my career: 100% of the students are all in - work ethic and attitude are functioning at a very high level."
The band also performed a special exhibition as the Class A champion at the very end of the competition day. All of the other bands had performed and the Wesleyan Marching Wolves performed last before the final awards ceremony. Close to 10,000 people were estimated to have been in attendance.

Don't miss your chance to catch these award-winning Marching Wolves during halftime at the football games.
