Chorus

Music is a vital part of our curriculum; in both lower and middle school, various art disciplines, including chorus, are part of the academic curriculum for every student. High school students are offered expanded programs in all areas of fine arts on an elective basis.

Students in the lower school will have the opportunity to discover and explore their talents through a number of listening, playing, and singing skills. In middle school, the goal is to develop the unique (sometimes changing) voice. Students will learn sight-reading, theory-practice, and music analysis. Middle school students will perform both on and off-campus throughout the year.

Once in high school, students can join the Chambers Singers. All students who enroll in a vocal music course in high school will develop a basic understanding of musical concepts, as well as develop skills in proper vocal production, ensemble singing, and stage performance. Students will present several evening concerts throughout the year and will perform both on and off-campus. Singers will also have the opportunity to participate in the Georgia Music Educators Association events such as Large Group Performance Evaluation and All-State Chorus.
