Applying to Grades 6-12

High School at Wesleyan aims to prepare students for the next step in their academic journey – college. Wesleyan is accepting qualified applicants that are equipped to manage a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum. For your convenience, we have listed all required materials on this page. Applications for the 2019-2020 school year will be available after October 1, 2018. Questions? In order to avoid a delay in the admission process, complete all of the application components and submit the necessary forms.

Application Requirements

  • Online Application

    Please submit an online application, along with the nonrefundable $85 application fee, by January 30, 2019. A recent photo must be attached with the online application.
  • Current School Records

    Wesleyan requires a copy of your student's complete transcript (this includes the most recent report card and final report cards for two years prior; standardized tests scores should also be included).
  • Interview

    Students are required to attend an on-campus interview.

    After you submit the online application, you will be contacted by the admissions staff to schedule the interview.

    The interview process lasts approximately 30 minutes and will take place on one of the dates listed below:
    • January 12
    • January 26
    • February 2
  • Teacher Evaluation

    We require your child’s current Math and English teachers to each complete a Teacher Evaluation. Teacher Evaluation forms are available on Ravenna as a part of the online application.
  • Extracurricular Evaluation

    Each child has the opportunity to impact the Wesleyan community with his or her extracurricular interests and talents. We require that an extracurricular representative complete an evaluation. Forms are available on Ravenna as a part of the online application.
  • Secondary School Admissions Test

    Students are required to take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). More information about the SSAT, including test dates, test locations, and test registration may be obtained by visiting the SSAT website. The testing code for Wesleyan School is 8100.

    If the SSAT has Not been scheduled before February 4, contact Sylvia Pryor for alternative testing information.
    Students applying for grades 11 and 12 should only take the SSAT if they have not taken the PSAT or SAT during the current school year.
  • Birth Certificate

    Wesleyan requires a copy of your student's birth certificate.
