Grade 5

Wesleyan is accepting qualified applicants that are intellectually and developmentally prepared to enter middle school as a 5th grade student. For your convenience, we have listed all required materials on this page. In order to avoid a delay in the admission process, please complete all of the application components and submit the necessary forms by February 7, 2018.

It is recommended that applicants attend the Family Open House on Saturday, January 6, 2018.

Application Requirements

  • Online Application

    Please submit an online application, along with the nonrefundable $85 application fee, by February 7, 2018. A recent photo must be attached with the online application.
  • Current School Records

    Wesleyan requires a copy of your student's complete transcript (this includes the most recent report card and final report cards for two years prior; standardized tests scores should also be included).
  • Testing at Wesleyan

    Students are required to complete on-campus testing administered by Wesleyan Faculty.
    After you submit the online application, you will be able schedule the on-campus testing using Ravenna.

    Testing will last approximately 120 minutes and will take place on Wesleyan’s campus beginning at 8:45am on the dates listed below:
    • January 20
    • February 3
    • February 10
  • Teacher Evaluation

    We require your child’s current Math and English teachers to each complete a Teacher Evaluation. Teacher Evaluation forms are available on Ravenna as a part of the online application.
  • Extracurricular Evaluation

    Each child has the opportunity to impact the Wesleyan community with his or her extracurricular interests and talents. We require that an extracurricular representative complete an evaluation. Forms are available on Ravenna as a part of the online application.
  • Joint Admissions Testing Program

    The Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS) has established a Joint Admissions Testing Program (JATP) for students applying to Kindergarten through 5th grade. Read the JATP information brochure and complete the JATP registration form included with the brochure.

    February 25, 2018 is the deadline for tests results to be received by the school.
    Upon receipt of your registration form and payment, a psychologist will contact you for an appointment.

    Submit your registration form before December 15, 2017 to receive an early application discount.
