Morris, King & Hodge $1000 Scholarship for Rising Freshmen at Alabama Colleges - Create an original essay explaining the dangers of texting and driving and practical steps to ending this momentous problem. Entrants must be planning to attend college in Alabama and submit a 1,000-word essay by April 12, 2019. The tone can be light-hearted or serious, as long as it’s informative, helpful and original.

Phentermine Clinics Health Scholarship -
To be eligible for this $1,000 scholarship, students should write an essay from 1,000 to 2,000 words covering the subject of what it means to live a healthy lifstyle in 2018. Consider including topics such as trends in nutrition (intermittent fasting, carb backloading, paleo, IIFYM, etc.), trends in workout/fitness methods, and how tech devices have affected the idea of a healthy lifestyle. Submissions are due by December 31, 2018.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship for African American Females - Scholarships are awarded to young African-American women who exemplify academic excellence, strong leadership, and community involvement. Applicants must be African-American female graduating seniors who live or attend school in Cobb, Cherokee or North Fulton County. Application deadline is December 15, 2018.

B Davis Scholarship on Leadership - To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the following topic: Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most. Discuss why you believe these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual. Submissions should be sent by email to awards@studentawardsearch.com no later than May 24, 2019.

School of Engineering at Mercer University
Mercer is accepting applications to its Scholarship Challenge, which will be held Saturday, November 10th. Scholarships will be awarded to students interested in Mercer’s engineering, industrial management, and technical communications program.

Clemson Lyceum Scholarship ($10,000)
Available for incoming freshmen at Clemson, this $10,000 scholarship enables students to study the moral, political, and economic foundations of a free society in an eight-course sequence. In addition to enhancing the understanding of a student’s intended major, Lyceum classes count towards Clemson’s Honor College and fulfill the requirements for a minor in Political Science. The application deadline is December 10, 2018.
 
ACT Student Champion
Geared towards under-represented or first-generation college students, this scholarship recognizes a student who has overcome a challenge, can articulate education and career actions, and who has a composite ACT of 22 or higher and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications are due December 31st.
 
SCAD Challenge
A scholarship opportunity offering high school students an international stage to exhibit their work, the SCAD Challenge seeks the next generation of talented artists and designers. High school seniors and juniors, and students completing their last two years of secondary school, compete to showcase their work at SCAD signature events, and may become eligible for scholarships to attend SCAD, the most comprehensive art and design university in the world.

StudyPug Math Help Scholarship
Math is everywhere around us. Benjamin Franklin once said: "No employment can be managed without arithmetic, no mechanical invention without geometry." This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to the high school student who writes the best 1000-word essay discussing "how a particular topic or branch of math, or a historic event related to math, helped propel humanity forward in a significant way." Application deadline is December 15, 2018. 

Beauty and Wellness Scholarship
$500 scholarship awarded to female high school seniors who write an essay on their experiences maintaining health and wellness while at school. This quarterly scholarship is offered September 30th, January 1st, March 31st, and June 30th every year. 

Consolidated Minority Scholarship Listing The Open Education Database provides a listing of several prestigious scholarships specifically for minorities. The scholarships are categorized by the applicant’s intended field of study and include majors such as psychology, physics, and engineering.

National Peace Essay Contest Awards ranging from $1,000-$10,000 for high school students in grades 9-12. Applicants must write an imaginary 1,000-1,250 word memo to a foreign ambassador about how the U.S. could help their country, which is experiencing a humanitarian crisis.

Seniors Helping Seniors Scholarship
 Awards ranging from $100 - $2,500 for high school seniors. Applicants must write an essay of 500-1,000 words about their volunteer work with the elderly and how they would encourage others to spend time with seniors.

Small Business Success Student Scholarship Three $1,500 awards are available. Applicants are required to write an essay of 500-1,000 words about how their business or a relative’s small business has shaped them.

Tobacco Free Life Scholarship
For students who are willing to share stories of how quitting smoking helped change their lives and help create a smoke-free world.

Eugene McDermott Scholarship at University of Texas
Valued at more than $250,000 (out-of-state), this scholarship includes tuition, stipend, study abroad, and professional development funding. Minimum requirements include 1450 or higher on the SAT (verbal and math) and a 33 or higher on the ACT.

Abbott & Fenner Business Consulting Scholarship
Seniors are invited to participate in Abbott & Fenner business consulting scholarship contest. Abbott & Fenner are committed to continuing their efforts at helping those who have the desire and ambition to succeed in the business world. Contestants will write an essay to enter the contest.

Tutors Monthly Scholarship Program
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries.

Nursing Schools Almanac Scholarship
Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its second annual Aspiring Nurse Scholarship whose website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates a record of academic excellence with a focus in math and science and have a passion for nursing. The scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue a college education in nursing.
